The device has a winding tube (1) comprising two tubular units (2a, 2b) connected with each other at the level of their ends by a connection unit (3) so that the tube is placed in a working state in which the units (2a, 2b) form a non-null angle. The unit (3) is flexible and so the angle is variable based on a force applied to the units (2a, 2b) and/or to the unit (3). The tube is rectilinear in the case of the force being absent, so that longitudinal axes of the units (2a, 2b) form a null angle. The units (2a, 2b, 3) are covered with a sheath formed as a single part. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a curved glass surface occultation device.
