PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide purpose-classified courses set at will according to a purpose for whose guidance only a limited route, a landmark, and destination, are not enough, by unifyingly processing route information, a position, and a map in order to eliminate the inconvenience of searching for a sightseeing spot while checking a present position based on limited route information, such as the way to the destination, as to a route information system 100 for providing a sightseeing route.;SOLUTION: In this route information system 100 for providing sightseeing guidance information, a route information server 300 determines route information for sightseeing guidance based on route information registered from a route information display terminal 200 and on the history of the position of the display terminal 200 to transmit the determined route information to the display terminal 200.
