PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely specify and set an installed driver software after installation of the driver software to a computer.;SOLUTION: A driver software in a registry 133h is retrieved to cancel specified information (a step S101). The installation processing of a second scanner driver 133b is performed by an OS, and an instruction is given to the OS so as to generate specified information for specifying the second scanner driver 133b in installation processing (steps S102, S103). The setting information of the second scanner driver 133b is acquired, the second scanner driver 133b is specified from a retrieval result of a driver software having the specified information and the acquired setting information of the second scanner driver 133b is written in the registry 133h (steps S104-S106).
