PRETREATMENT PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR PRETREATMENT OF WOOD-BASED BIOMASS CHIP

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for pretreatment of wood-based biomass chip effectively swelling them by steam and effectively carrying out acid treatment without hardening lipid and starch contained in the wood chip tissue and suppressing change of the composition. PSOLUTION: The system comprises a horizontal cylindrical extruder 2 provided with a hopper 1 unilaterally installed for feeding wood-based biomass chip; the extruder 2 has a screw 20 for mixing and conveying the wood-based biomass chip from the unilateral side to the other side and a steam feeding means to feed steam for gradually heating the biomass chip to 100-150C, and the acid treating system 4 has a vertical cylindrical structure and introducing the biomass chip discharged from the other side of the swelling system and treating by countercurrent contact with the acid.
