PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nubuck-toned artificial leather having a combination of nubuck-toned down touch and natural leather-toned fine wrinkle touch.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the nubuck-toned artificial leather comprises the following process: in such a base material that a polymeric elastomer is incorporated in a nonwoven fabric made by interlacedly unifying web comprising extrafine fibers (a) with an average single fiber fineness Da of 0.0001-0.004 dtex and web comprising extrafine fibers (b) with the average single fiber fineness Db meeting the relationship: 0.0001Da/Db1, the surface of the web comprising the extrafine fibers (a) is subjected to raising treatment; and the resultant base material is charged once into a water bath at 40°C or lower followed by raising the temperature of the water bath to 60°C or higher at a rate of 2°C/min or less and then making a relaxation treatment at 60°C or higher for 60 min or longer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
