PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contamination preventive device capable of preventing the breakage of a film when a water level drops, and a mooring method for the contamination preventive device. PSOLUTION: The film 3 having a weight attached to its lower end is suspended from a float 2, and both longitudinal ends of the float 2 are connected to anchors 10, which are disposed on the opposite banks, via anchor ropes 4 (mooring cable), respectively. In addition, the anchors 10 and metal fixtures 2c (fitting portion for auxiliary cable) on both longitudinal ends of the float 2 are also connected using auxiliary ropes 5 (auxiliary cable), respectively. The metal fixtures 2c are fitted at spots on both ends of a part of the float 2 that floats on the water surface when the water level is the lowest. The length of the auxiliary rope 5 is so determined as to give a slack to the part ranging from the anchor 10 through the anchor rope 4 to the metal fixture 2c of the float 2.
