PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension telephone system capable of inputting a special number easily without putting human labor.;SOLUTION: When special-number setting is performed using an input unit 21 and a display unit 25, an IP-PBX 2 automatically forms a special-number list concerning special numbers and usable extension functions by its control section, and registers that special-number list in a memory 24 together with the date and time of the update. A portable extension telephone 1 allows its control section 12 to inquire of the IP-PBX 2 the date and time of the newest update of the special-number list from a communication section 11 through a communication path 100 in its initial communication with the IP-PBX 2, and compare the date and time of that newest update with the date and time of the newest update of the special-number list stored in a memory 14, acquires a special-number list from the IP-PBX and stores it in the memory 14, if the newest special-number list is not retained, and moreover performs special-number assignment to exclusive keys for inputting special numbers or a special-number inputting GUI such as an icon.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
