PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconium tungstate-magnesium tungstate composite which has a compact structure, can be subjected to thermal expansion control and can be produced by a simple and easy means, a method for producing the composite, and a molded product equipped with the composite.;SOLUTION: The composite comprising crystal powder of zirconium tungstate powder and magnesium tungstate powder is produced by mixing amorphous powder of zirconium tungstate obtained by a sol-gel process and magnesium tungstate powder obtained by a sol-gel process, and crystallizing the mixture by discharge plasma sintering. The composite is useful as a functional ceramic material in the optical field, heat energy field and electronic material field in which control of thermal expansion is required.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
