PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing game toy by which fishing with reality is enjoyed without minding consumption of a battery etc.;SOLUTION: In the fishing game toy for fishing a fish body 1 with a fishing rod 2, the fish body 1 is composed of a plate member curve-formed in the state of a projecting surface, and a circular opening part 3 is formed simulating a mouth nearly in its center. The fishing rod 2 has a suspending part 8 for suspending a shaft 7 with a spiral groove 9 arranged at the distal end of a rod part 6. The suspending part 8 is provided with a drive mechanism D for revolving the shaft 7. The drive mechanism D is composed of: a drive gear 17 having a through hole 25 formed at a position deviated a little from the center and rotated by operation of a handle 10; and a rotation blocking part 35 for blocking the rotation of the shaft 17.
