PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embossing roll for manufacturing an optical film capable of simply reproducing a processed layer, manufacturing method thereof, and the optical film.;SOLUTION: Since the processed layer 14 for applying irregularity is provided on a substrate plated layer 12, and a releasing layer 13 is interposed between the substrate plated layer 12 and the processed layer 14 when reproducing of the embossing roll 1 due to the generation of flaw on the processed layer 14 in production or other defect, only the processed layer 14 can be mechanically released. Therefore, the processed layer 14 can be simply and inexpensively formed by plating and the embossing roll can be reproduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
