PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesh division method performing mesh division such that analysis results can be output with high accuracy even in the vicinity of a tangent line or in a contact point contacted by a plurality of shape models without imparting a restriction condition related to roughness/denseness, and to provide a finite element analysis device and a computer program using the method.;SOLUTION: The contact point of the plurality of shape models is set as a first node, a third node used for the mesh division is set on a line segment connecting the first node and a second node adjacent to it positioned on a curve of one shape model, a movement distance when moving the third node onto the curve in a direction orthogonal to the line segment is calculated, and a curvature radius of the curve in a point of the curve onto which the movement is performed is calculated. When a ratio obtained by dividing the movement distance by the curvature radius is more than a prescribed value, the third node is moved onto the curve, the mesh division is performed into a finite element connecting the first, second and third nodes, and the above processing is repeated. When the ratio obtained by dividing the movement distance by the curvature radius is not more than the prescribed value, the mesh division is stopped.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
