PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging technique capable of widening a visual field range about an ion source, in a mass spectrometric system including the ion source.;SOLUTION: This method of generating a focused image of an area on a sample plate for the matrix-based ion source includes a step for positioning the area within a visual field of an imaging device, a step for generating the first image including a focused portion and an unfocused portion, using the imaging device, a step for generating the second image including a focused portion and an unfocused portion, using the imaging device, and a step for generating the final focused image, using the focused portions in the first and second images.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
