PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing core sand adhered to a workpiece, which easily and completely removes the sand of a fine and complicated core shape for an automobile engine and the like.;SOLUTION: Dielectric materials having an average grain diameter (D₅₀) of ≤1 mm are added in an amount of ≤20 pts.wt., preferably 5-10 pts.wt., relative to a core sand. The cast product, to which the core sand is adhered, is held for 0.5-60 minutes in an electromagnetic wave, which has a vibration frequency range of 2.45-300 GHz, a wavelength range of 150-1 mm, and a radiation energy of 500 W-50 kW, so that the core sand is removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
