PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode-lead connection structure which maintains the capacitance of a capacitor and also improves the contact reliability of a lead wire, to provide an electric double-layer capacitor having the electrode-lead connection structure, and to provide a manufacturing method for the electric double-layer capacitor. PSOLUTION: The electric double-layer capacitor includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode each having a polarizable electrode layer formed on a current collector, a positive lead wire and a negative lead wire that are connected to the positive electrode and the negative electrode respectively, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an electrolyte impregnated in the separator. The part of electrode where the lead wire is attached is not coated with the polarizable electrode layer, and the lead wire is attached to the current collector by a stitching method and then is pressure bonded to the current collector.
