PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce trouble of managers or users of electronic documents in managing authority for the electronic documents.;SOLUTION: A manager of electronic documents operates an input device 213 of an electronic document management server 101 when, for example, temporarily permitting a user whose name is "Yamada" to print an electronic document whose document ID is "00000001". On a document authority setting screen 400 shown in Fig.4, the setting of a field 401 of printing 305 is changed from "Disabled" to "Enabled" to permit the printing of the electronic document whose document ID is "00000001". When receiving a later printing completion notification indicating the completion of printing of the electronic document from a printer 103, the electronic document management system 101 automatically returns the content of the field 401 of printing 305 to the state before the manager's change of the authority for the electronic document.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
