PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer latex for moisture-proof paper giving moisture-proof paper excellent in balance between moisture-proofness and easily defibrating property, and also in anti-blocking property, and to obtain a coating composition for moisture-proof paper containing the latex, and moisture-proof coated paper obtained by coating the coating composition. ;SOLUTION: The copolymer latex for moisture-proof paper is obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing a relatively small amount of an ethylenic unsaturated acid monomer in the presence of a copolymer latex obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing a relatively large amount of an ethylenic unsaturated acid monomer, in the polymerization of a monomer mixture having a specific composition containing an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer, an aromatic vinyl monomer, an ethylenic unsaturated acid monomer and other ethylenic unsaturated monomers copolymerizable with these monomers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
