PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for taking out product gas after restarting an air separating device and before reaching stationary operation.;SOLUTION: This air separating device is provided with a high pressure distillation column and a low pressure distillation column to separate material air into liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen, a liquid storage tank to store the liquid oxygen or liquid nitrogen separated, and a heat exchanger to vaporize the liquid oxygen and/or liquid nitrogen to form product gas using compressed material air for a heat source. In the air separating device, a liquid extracting quantity regulating valve is provided in a line connecting the distillation column to the liquid storage tank, and a pressure means is provided to regulate pressure in the liquid storage tank separately from the distillation column when the liquid extracting quantity regulating valve is closed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
