PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hierarchical-structure menu displaying method which enables a user to understand a class to which the user presently belongs, in a hierarchical structure menu, and also to visually and easily recognize the continuity of classes.;SOLUTION: This is a hierarchical-structure menu displaying method in which the display of a menu of a high class is changed over, on a display screen, to the display of a menu of a low class except the lowest class when one of a plurality of selection items is selected and determined in response to a selection inputting operation by a user in displaying the menu of each class of a hierarchical structure. The hierarchical-structure menu displaying method executes animation which moves a selection item, that is selected and determined in the display of the menu of a high class, to a title-displaying position in the display of the menu of a low class, when the display of the menu of the high class is changed over to the display of the menu of the lower hierarchy, and then displays the menu of the low class together with the title concerned.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
