PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing method of an electrophotographic photoreceptor with which the surface characteristic uniform over the entire surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is easily obtained.;SOLUTION: An electrode 12 is disposed in a position near the electrophotographic photoreceptor 50 and a voltage is applied from a power source 14 to the electrode 12 to generate discharge between the electrode 12 and a surface layer 50b of the electrophotographic photoreceptor 50, thereby cutting the surface layer 50b and reducing the ruggedness of the surface layer 50b.
