PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting or identifying miRNA and one or plural target gene (target mRNA) as the target thereof. PSOLUTION: The method for predicting or identifying miRNA and one or plural target mRNA as the target thereof comprises calculating the most stable secondary structure of double strand RNA where all partial sequences of all the object mRNA can be potentially miRNA and its secondary structural energy, searching all partial sequences where miRNA is potentially a stable structure in binding with mRNA, and calculating the most stable secondary structure where the target partial sequence or boundary region of the target partial sequence can be formed with the partial sequence of the mRNA and the secondary structural energy of the structure, and deciding whether the target partial sequence of the mRNA has a structure being interactive with miRNA or not.
