PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray for drying Japanese plums used for sun drying, and designed so as to make it easy to dry Japanese plums without causing scatter or bias of the Japanese plums when turning over the Japanese plums in sun drying time and requiring no specific skill, so as to improve productivity: and to provide a method for drying Japanese plums. PSOLUTION: The tray 1 for drying Japanese plums is provided with a frame body 2 and plate-like Japanese plum-receiving members 5 installed so as to block the opening part 3 of the frame body 2, and is structured as follows: placing a new tray for drying Japanese plums at the upper part of the tray for drying Japanese plums formed so as to make the Japanese plum-receiving members slidable toward a frame body height direction via a slide connection means 10; pushing up the Japanese plum-receiving member where the Japanese plums are laid to turn over the upper and lower Japanese plum-receiving members so as to put the Japanese plums between the Japanese plum-receiving member of the upper side tray and itself; and shifting the Japanese plums to the Japanese plum-receiving member of the tray for drying Japanese plums placed at the upper side so as to invert the Japanese plums.
