The invention provides multi-nuclear metal complexes partially encapsulated by one or more cucurbit[7 to 12]urils or analogues thereof. The invention further relates to methods for treating cancer by administering a multi-nuclear metal complex having anti-tumour activity partially encapsulated by one or more cucurbit[7 to 12]urils or analogues thereof.
