PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erroneous/missing component inspection device and an erroneous/missing component inspection method, allowing an unskilled worker to easily perform inspection of installation omission and an installation error in installing components. PSOLUTION: This erroneous/missing component inspection device is a device for inspecting an erroneous/missing component of a work 4 installed with components 6, etc., and each the component 6, etc. is installed with a tag 7 recording at least kind information Id6 thereof. The erroneous/missing component inspection device has: a reading part 10 reading the kind information Id6 from the tag 7 installed to the component 6 installed to the work 4; a recording part 8a recording component list data T showing the kind of the component 6 installed to each of various kinds of works 4 and the kind of the work 4; and a processing part 8c performing processing for inspecting whether the component 6 is correctly installed to the work 4 or not by use of the read kind information Id6 and the component list data T.
