PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method and operation control system for fuel consuming equipment and an energy trading system, capable of positively avoiding a penalty at a low fuel unit price. PSOLUTION: In this operation method for the fuel consuming equipment 11 including power generating equipment 12 for performing power generation using a prescribed fuel as a driving source and a fuel consuming apparatus 13 other than the power generating equipment 12, a fuel supply quantity to the fuel consuming equipment 11 for a certain period is determined, and an operation control means 23 controls the operation quantity of the power generating equipment 12 so that the fuel supply quantity planned value is almost equal to the total fuel consuming quantity of the power generating equipment 12 and the fuel consuming apparatus 13 other than the power generating equipment.
