PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the drainage effect of the dew condensation even if a fixed shoji is thick and to take an indoor space as wider as possible in a sash window having the fixed shoji on an indoor side of a sash frame and a sliding door on an outdoor side.;SOLUTION: In the sash window having the fixed shoji (3) on the indoor side of the sash frame (1) and the sliding door (2) on the outdoor side, a drainage device for the fixed shoji of the sash window is so constituted that a lower sash (11) of the fixed shoji (3) is made to stand up on a sash sill (4), a recess groove (15) is provided to an indoor side aspect surface of the lower sash on the side lower than a glass holding section (13) of the lower batten, the indoor side aspect surface is formed on a vertical plane in the part upper than the recess groove (15) and, at the same time, that a weep hole (16) is bored in the lower part of the recess groove to provide a drain outlet (18) connecting the weep hole to the outside of a room to the sill (4).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
