PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical instrument with an electronic controller which can be downsized by diminishing a spacing between an installation surface to be installed with performance operators, setting operators, etc., and a cover member for covering the installation surface. PSOLUTION: A display panel 20 is mounted in an uprisable/tiltable state on the installation surface 15 to be installed with a keyboard 13 and an operation panel 14. The display panel 20 is adapted to project onto the installation surface 15 beyond the position of the sliding cover 30 in the closed state of the sliding cover 30 when the display panel rises up and to be confined between the sliding cover 30 in the closed state of the sliding cover 30 and the installation surface 15 when the display panel 20 tilts.
