PURPOSE: A swing control device of a swing-type hydraulic shovel is provided to improve working efficiency by turning/swinging an excavator accurately and conveniently, to move to a digging position easily and to assume an attitude for digging an offset groove easily. CONSTITUTION: A swing control device of a swing-type hydraulic shovel comprises an upper turning body installed in the upper part of a lower travel body and rotated by a turning unit(29) driven by a turning operating unit(32); an excavator mounted in the front of the upper turning body and swung right and left by a swing unit(17) driven by a swing operating unit(30); a turning angle detector(19) turning the turning angle of the upper turning body; an indicator(44); and a controller(40) calculating the right and left offset of the excavator to the vehicle body based on the turning angle signal from the turning angle detector, and indicating the calculation result to the indicator.
