PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for fitting a water intake port to each ship while, in a conventional method, the water intake port to meet a ship is selected and mounted out of water intake ports of every shape in order to maintain the efficiency for sucking fresh water or sea water at the water intake port provided in the bottom according to the difference of the operational speed of each ship.;SOLUTION: A strainer 2 for preventing garbage in water is mounted on an inclined surface of 2-20° of an opening part 1 for a water intake body 12. Several front fins 4 and rear fins 5 are provided on a surface of the strainer 2, and a water flow guide plate 6 can be fixed on either the front or rear fins. An inclination is provided before each fin so as to flush away garbage floating during the navigation. The inclination is set to be 10-80° with the circular line of the strainer 2 as a reference. The water flow guide plate 6 covers the fin 4 or 5, and an end of the water flow guide plate 6 protruded from a back side of the strainer groove is bent and fixed.
