PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for producing a molybdenum compound high in safety and usability by treating a waste acid containing dissolved molybdenum in a high content, and nitric acid and sulfuric acid, which is generated in a filament maker or the like.;SOLUTION: The technology for producing the molybdenum compound is characterized by separating nitric acid by heating and evaporating the waste acid containing dissolved molybdenum, nitric and sulfuric acid, then depositing the molybdenum compound from a residual concentrated liquid after separating nitric acid, performing solid-liquid separation, and heating the separated molybdenum compound at a temperature of ≥300°C. The obtained power consists mainly of MoO3 and does not solidify because the powder is free from moisture-absorbing property, does not contain SO4 and has high purity, and further, the obtained powder is excellent in safety, handleability, transportability and transport efficiency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
