PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for estimating a road link travelling time that can calculate a road link travelling time required for moving on the road link from congestion information of the road link.;SOLUTION: A road link travelling time estimation device obtains an n-th transform function for calculating a road link travelling time from a degree of the road link congestion using the relationship of a past road link travelling time and a past degree of the road link congestion, obtains n+1 multiple regression formula for calculating a coefficient of the transform function from road attribute information by conducting a multiple regression analysis with the coefficient of the transform function as a target variable and the road attribute information as an explanation variable, calculates the coefficient of the transform function by substituting the road attribute information of the road link that is an object of the road link travelling time estimation to the multiple regression function, and by applying the coefficient to the conversion function, calculates an estimated value of the road link travelling time by substituting the degree of the road link congestion at the time of travelling to the conversion function.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
