PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an architectural/civil-engineered structure which is free from cracking or separation over a long period of time.;SOLUTION: A structure reinforcing layer is formed of a reinforcing fiber layer 2 which is obtained by sticking an impregnated reinforcing fiber sheet to a surface of the structure, and a fiber-reinforced mortar layer 4 which is applied to a surface of the reinforcing fiber layer. Then, an infinite number of adhesion strengthening short fibers 3 are interposed between the reinforcing fiber layer 2 and the mortar layer 4 to strengthen connection between the layers. That is, the fibers are supported by the surface of the reinforcing fiber layer 2, and part of the fibers are hardened in the fiber reinforcing layer 2 while the remaining part of the fibers are engaged in the mortar layer 4 and hardened in the same. Employment of fiber-reinforced mortar in the mortar layer brings about very good synergistic effect with respect to adhesion reinforcing effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
