PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having low fog density and high maximum density and improved in the color tone of a silver image and in image preservability, and also to provide an X-ray image forming unit using the same, an X-ray image recording method and an image forming method.;SOLUTION: The silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material has on a support, a photosensitive layer containing a non-photosensitive silver salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid, photosensitive silver halide grains, a reducing agent for silver ions, and a binder, wherein at least one layer of the photosensitive layer contains a dispersant having a functional group capable of forming ionic bond with a hydrophilic group of a hydrophilic dispersant for the photosensitive silver halide grains, and a coating weight of silver per one side of the support is 0.8-1.6 g/m2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
