PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusion film and an anti-reflection film which have no point defect and to provide a polarizing plate and an image display device such as a liquid crystal display which are provided with the light diffusion film or the anti-reflection film.;SOLUTION: The light diffusion film 12 comprises a transparent plastic film base material 1 and a light diffusion layer 6 laminated thereon directly or via another layer. The light diffusion layer 6 is formed of a curable composition containing a leveling agent and particles having an average particle diameter of ≥1 μm and has average film thickness of 1 μm to 10 μm. The light diffusion film 12 has a haze of ≥3% and average number of point defects, which have a shape capable of surrounding a circle having a diameter of 100 μm, is 2.0/10 m² or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
