PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensively soft magnetic film smoothed appropriately on glass substrate in a process for polishing a soft magnetic layer filmed on the glass substrate in vertical magnetic recording hard disk drive manufacturing.;SOLUTION: The glass substrate has the soft magnetic base film deposited on the glass substrate by a nonelectrolytic plating method, over which disposable plating for polishing is also applied, and has the soft magnetic base film going through a process for polishing and smoothing a soft magnetic plating layer together with the disposable plating layer, and the hard disk using it is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
