PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holder for a device for coating a lens with Indian ink which facilitates work during holding the lens in work for coating the lens with the Indian ink and does not produce the traces of contact and a method for holding the lens of the device for coating the lens with the Indian ink.;SOLUTION: The lens holder is molded to a cup-shape thinnest at the its top end and is provided with an opening 5 for air suction in the lower part of the cup-shaped section 2. The lens L1 is attracted and held in contact of surface to surface by an inside surface 7 near a top end edge 6 of the cup- shaped section 2 by suction of the air from the opening 5 for air suction and the part near the bottom end of the cup-shaped section 2 is fitted to the front end of a holder supporting shaft and is rotationally driven, by which the coating of the lens L1 with the Indian ink under rotation is made possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
