PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which can connect a steel element to cast-in- place reinforced concrete with good workability and high construction accuracy, and to provide a method for connecting the same. SOLUTION: A connecting joint member 43 is constituted of a steel plate portion 43a having an I-shaped cross section and a connecting joint portion 43b having an almost C-shaped cross section, formed at one end of the plate portion 43a along an element axial direction. The connecting joint portion 43b of the connecting joint member 43 is fitted to an element joint 13 or the like of a steel element 30 or the like, and a grout material is injected into a fitting space to fix the same. Further, a plurality of connecting reinforcements 44 which are arranged on the side opposite to the one end, in the vicinity of the other end of the connecting joint member 43, in a manner extending in parallel with each other in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the element are superposed on reinforcements for cast-in-place reinforced concrete, followed by placing cast-in-place concrete 45 thereon. In this manner, the steel element is connected to the cast-in-place reinforced concrete.
