PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a latch having a reversing latch and a push-pull type handle, which has freedom in mounting.;SOLUTION: This device has the latch 7 protrusively and retreatably protruded from the free-end side end surface 1A of a door 1 and rotatable around the vertical axis, regulating means 15, 29 and 42 for regulating the rotating operation of the latch 7, and push/pull-operable handles 5A and 5B mounted on the door 2 to be rotatable around the vertical axis. The rotation regulation of the latch 7 by the regulating means 15, 29 and 42 can be released by each of the pushing operation and pulling operation of the same handle 5A or 5B.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
