PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glaze composition capable of forming a glaze layer whose surface is resistant to adhesion of a stain, which has excellent removability of a stuck stain, and which has also an excellent appearance and suitably usable for hygienic pottery.;SOLUTION: The glaze composition contains glaze forming components which form the glaze layer when burned. The composition does not contain a zirconium component but contains a phosphorus component and a tin component as follows.
