Application layer multicast method and relay node system

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed ALM (application layer multicast) through the use of an existing IP network by dividing route control and data copying into different kinds of hardware and processing them in the ALM.;SOLUTION: A relay node includes a route controller for performing an ALM route control processing in an application layer and a data copying device for performing a data copying and transferring to a succeeding hop node after a layer 3 by the exclusive hardware. The controller is connected to the device in the same segment and information management and communication are performed between the controller and the device by allowing a prescribed management ID to correspond to relay contents.
