Detection capability evaluation apparatus and method of aerosol detection equipment

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for evaluating the detection capacity of an aerosol apparatus. ;SOLUTION: In a system evaluating the detection capacity of an aerosol detection apparatus 20 for irradiating an aerosol with light and detecting the scattered lights from the aerosol generated at the time of light irradiation to detect the aerosol, a low conc. aerosol of evaluation particles which are substantially monodispersed in particle size by using an aerosol generator 4 and a dilution device 5, and this low conc. aerosol is passed through a wind tunnel 2 to be detected by the aerosol generator 4 and the detected result is displayed on a monitor 7, while the aerosol is detected by a particle counter 3 and the detection capacity of the aerosol detector 20 is evaluated, on the basis of the comparison of these detection results.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
