PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace temperature-compensating device of a gasification melting apparatus suitable for rapidly and properly maintaining the melting furnace inside temperature of the gasification melting apparatus to a specified temperature suitable for melting ash content into slag and a melting furnace temperature-compensating method. PSOLUTION: This device comprises a fluidized-bed gasification furnace, a melting furnace, and a melting furnace inside temperature control means for controlling temperature in the melting furnace. An oxygen supply nozzle 32 for supplying oxygen and a melting furnace inside temperature monitoring means are installed in the melting furnace 20 separately from air supply nozzles 25 and 26 for supplying secondary air. The temperature control means comprises a control function to reduce the ratio of a secondary air supply amount to an oxygen supply amount to less than a specified value when the temperature in the melting furnace 20 is lowered to less than a specified temperature at which the ash content is melted into slag and increase the ratio of the secondary air supply amount to the oxygen supply amount to the specified value or higher when the temperature in the melting furnace 20 is increased to the specified temperature or higher beyond the specified temperature at which the ash content is melted into slag.
