PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method of a part of discharging port for molten monolithic refractories lined in a melting furnace, which is not only capable of drying sufficiently monolithic refractories on a part of molten matter discharging port, and as a result, capable of prolonging the life time of the refractories but also capable of contriving the reduction of the period of repairing rest, and a molten matter discharging port drying device employed for the drying.;SOLUTION: The molten matter discharging port drying device 10 for drying monolithic refractories on the circumference of the molten matter discharging port 15, formed at the lower part of a melting furnace body 11 is provided with an outer cylindrical tube 17, fitted into the molten matter discharging port 15 with a clearance and having a plurality of hot air blow-out ports 16 on the periphery of the same, and a hot air generating means 19 for blowing out the hot air 18, whose temperature is controlled, from among a plurality of hot air blow-out ports 16 on the outer cylindrical tube 17.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
