PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chromium-free monolithic refractory for a waste melting furnace having excellent durability equivalent to or higher than that of an alumina/chromia monolithic refractory in the chromium-free monolithic refractory for the waste melting furnace for solving a problem of environmental pollution.;SOLUTION: The chromium-free monolithic refractory for the waste melting furnace is composed of 3-70 mass% MgAl2O4-Mg2TiO4 based solid solution particle, 0.5-20 mass% calcined alumina and a residual part consisting of at least one or more out of an alumina particle and a spinel particle having 3-33 mass% MgO component and also which is obtained by adding a binder and a dispersant, and the sum amount of the alumina cement in the calcined alumina and the binder is 3-25 mass%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
