PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce calcium hydroxide having high flowability even in a state of fine powder by slaking calcium oxide with water containing a specific compound. ;SOLUTION: Calcium oxide produced by calcining limestone is slaked by adding water containing a compound selected from among a 3-8C water-soluble polyhydric alcohol, a polyglycol-based surfactant and an amino-modified dimethylsilicone oil at a concentration of 0.05-5%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
