PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic composition which contains, as a main component, a compound mainly composed of the elements of Na, Li, Nb and O, expressed by compositional formula: (NaSB1-x/SBLiSBx/SB)NbOSB3/SB, and having a perovskite structure, and which has improved mechanical quality factor Qm. PSOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic composition contains, as the main component, the compound having the perovskite structure and composed mainly of the elements comprising Na, Li, Nb and O. The crystal system of the main component is different from a crystal system originally stable in room temperature and originally stable in a temperature range higher than room temperature, and becomes a metastable state in room temperature.
