The invention relates to novel product of isolated of human keratinocytes which are cells from the culture KC-BI-1 (DSM ACC 2514), or derivatives therefrom, they are not immortalised and can be replicated at least 150 times by in vitro cell culture methods and also a carrier which is partially coated with said cells; a process for cryopreserving the product and use the product and/or carrier for the treatment of fresh wounds and preferably chronic, difficult to heal wounds.
