The present invention relates to a novel conrod connecting a piston or cross head to the crank in a two or four stroke internal combustion engines, said conrod comprising a stem inter linking two connecting means in the form of a big circular end and a smaller circular end, wherein the stem having a density of material in the range of 7.4 to 7.8 gm/cc and the connecting means having a density of material in the range of 6.7 to 7 gm/cc.
