The three-dimensional usage object and its formation method involves the selection of first and second two-dimensional figures with a like number of surrounding lines. The figures are positioned opposite to each other and with use of a connection surface, union is made of each of the surrounding lines of the first figure with separate such lines of the second figuer. This forms a model of the object, with the aid of which the object is then formed. A series of letters (A-Z) and numerals (0-9) is formed, which are combined in groups with a like number of enclosing lines (N). In a letter A formation (2,4,5,6,9), the upper contour of the object (2) has in cross-section a surface with an enclosing form corresponding to the letter A. The object may well be used as a vase. The lower contour (3) of the object has in cross-section a surface with the form of a letter T. The side contour is formed by the outer contour of the eight connecting surfaces which join the enclosing lines (21-28) of the letter A with the eight enclosing lines (31-38) of the letter T. The connecting surface (9) is thus opened out, so that a hollow is formed in the body of the usage object.
