The method for preventing the obstetrical complications in the pregnant women with the acute viral hepatitis A comprises the use of Proteflasid in the course of the gestation. The drug is used starting from the first day when the hepatitis was diagnosed at a dose of 5 drops thrice a day for 3 days, then 10 drops thrice a day for further 24 days until the complete flask of 30 ml is spent.
