The process for the surgical treatment of cardiac achalasia comprises the restoration of the anatomical components of the cardiac ligaments, namely esophageal-diaphragmatic, diaphragmatic-fundal, and cardiodiaphragmatic ligaments. The areflux cardia is shaped by esophagocardiofundoplasty. The muscular defect is closed by the anterior gastric wall.
